Why teachers should use social media.
Engagement.
- I become motivated by sharing my ideas and classroom activities with parents, students, coworkers, family and friends. I can take pride in what I do. I work toward making excellent lessons and activities I am proud to share.
- Parents can see what their students do, question and connect with the class on their time in their own way.
- Students can share what they are proud of.
- Classroom para educators can take ownership and pride in their professions.
- Fellow teachers can learn from me, and I them.
- Both school aged students and their parents are using technology as an integral method to communicate and interact with the world.

Great Day
Hi,
What a wonderful day I had as a teacher. Here is why:
1. The students were engaged. Two activities made this happen. We had the library mascot and a member of the district visit our classroom read Dr.Seuss to promote literacy and encourage reading. In the afternoon we had an outing to a local unique landmark/eatery. These experiences were novel and exciting for my students with disabilities.
2. The staff had fun, seemed proud of their work, and I had fun relating with them. Bad attitudes are contagious, but so are positive attitudes. Today people were feeling pretty darn positive.
3. I am proud of the growth I have seen in both students and staff. I believe our staff team has made that happen. That makes me happy.
4. I feel more comfortable in my role as teacher and as an advocate for my students. I believe I can make a difference.
Today I am proud of my career.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
